PPM is officially recognised as a research institute by the Norwegian Research Council. We work in close collaboration with University in Trondheim, Narvik University College, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Chuo University in Tokyo, Friedrich Alexander University in Nürnberg/Erlangen and University in Banja Luka. This collaboration encompasses high tech research projects, students internship / exchange in addition to teaching activities by PPM’s staff.
PPM is actively involved in industrial, national and EU projects. Our personnel is experienced in the acquisition, implementation and management of national and international projects. We work in close collaboration with industrial partners, the Norwegian Research Council, Innovation Norway and the European Commission.

PPM AS is approved as research institute within robotics by the Norwegian Research Council. PPM’s Managing Director, Prof. Trygve Thomessen, is Vice president of the Hungarian-Norwegian laboratory for advanced robotics and manufacturing. Prof. Thomessen was 2005 - 2011 part time professor in University in Trondheim, Norway, and is currently Industrial Professor at Budapest University of Technology and Economics and Visiting Professor at Chuo University in Tokyo.
