PPM is a constant promoter of robotics and automation, on the local and international market.
Automated production is becoming increasingly important in Norway. In order to improve the competitiveness of the industry, production should become more efficient and profitable. The Forum will help to create partnerships between companies, equipment suppliers, specialist communities, as well as research and education communities. PPM at IoT Forum Budapest
The Internet of Things has been transforming whole industries and businesses, and is the driver for the development of PPM's current line of products. Developers from PPM Hungary attended the IoT Forum in Budapest to learn about the current developments and trends, to meet with peers and to establish new business relationships. The conference provided many opportunities for fruitfull discussions, in particular about:

PPM strenghthens ties in Korean-Norwegian collaboration
The iVAR project held its 4th Consortium Meeting in Daegu, South-Korea. Korean-Norwegian collaboration project iVAR, coordinated by PPM, aims at developing an intelligent Versatile Avatar Robot. The meeting marks one year of close collaboration of the industrial and academeic partners in both countries. The iVAR consortium thanks to all participants, in particular to the meeting host Yujin Mechatronics for excelent organisation of the event, valuable contributions and fruitfull discussions.
PPM at ROSCon 2016 in Seoul
PPM's human-machine communication software FlexGui 4.0 debuts at it's first ROSCon, beeing the User Interface for ROS-Industrial. PPM developers had exciting talks, exchanged ideas with fellow developers, and spend extraordinary two days learning from and networking with the ROS community. The conference attracted over 450 attendees.
The Robot Operating System (ROS), a flexible framework for writing robot software, is gaining momentum in ASIA. PPM has a strong base of its business activities in Asia, in particular in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Beeing an active member in the ROS-I Consortium Europe the company strongly promotes ROS in the automation industry in Asia.
PPM at SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg
SPS IPC Drives is Europe's leading trade fair for electrical automation. PPM's traditional visit to this fair in Nuremberg is always very inspiring. It is a unique opportunity to meet the automation providers from all over the world, to find out more about products, innovations and trends in the industry and to discuss new features and products. The fair offers a good overview on new solutions for various automation tasks. It is a good opportunity to meet partners, competitors and collaborators.
5th Consortium Meeting in Narvik, Norway to plan the commercialisation of the intelligent Versatile Avatar Robot iVAR
The iVAR project partners met at the 5th Consortium Meeting in Narvik, Norway. Korean-Norwegian collaboration project iVAR, coordinated by PPM, aims at developing an intelligent Versatile Avatar Robot. The meeting was hosted by PPM's parner university, the Arctic University of Norway. The robot lab hosted interesting sessions about the latest developments using iVAR technology. The circle of customers is growing steadily in Korea, where the heavy industry and the raising need in remote assistance forcast a high demand in autonomous, intelligent mobile robot systems.
FlexGUI training at the ROS-Industrial workshop at Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart
PPM developers held a training session prior to the 5th edition of the ROS-Industrial training workshop at Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart, Germany. At the event, attendees from both industry and academia were given a general introduction to the ROS concept, structure and tools, to then receive hands-on training on three separate sessions covering perception, manipulation, and navigation. Together with FH Aachen delivering a fully day of hands-on ROS training, and ROS-Industrial Consortium Europe members PPM AS and IT+Robotics srl provided training on their packages FlexGui and cROS during the second day. PPM thanks to all organisers and participants of their session for valuebale feedback and contacts made there.

PPM at the Hannover Fair 2017
Together with our development partner HIWIN, PPM present FlexGUI 4.0 at the Hannover Fair 2017. PPM wil demostrate how to use FlexGui 4.0 to control HIWIN's latest robot models and let visitors experience the user friendly robot control and programming. Visit PPM and HIWIN in Hall 15, booth A06!
PPM at MACH-TECH & INDUSTRY DAYS 2017 in Budapest
PPM thanks all partners and collaborators at this year's biggest Industry 4.0 themed exhibition of Hungary, IPAR NAPJAI (INDUSTRY DAYS). This year IPAR NAPJAI was accompanied by the industry trade show MACH-TECH. The event brought together professionals from nearly all branches of industry and featured innovative ideas and latest trends, in particular in automation and robotics.
In 2017, the exhibition’s main theme was the INDUSTRY 4.0. The INDUSTRY DAYS and MACH-TECH 2017 with over 400 exhibitors from more than 15 different countries attracted about 15.000 of visitors. The visitors had the opportunity to see showcases from various industrial segments, from equipment and machinery production, welding technology, automation and environmental protection, to electronic security. PPM presented their Industry 4.0 compliant product FlexGui 4.0, developed as part of PPM’s portfolio for smart and flexible production. PPM thanks to all visitors and partners for fruitful discussions, and positive and constructive feedback on PPM’s Industry 4.0 solutions.
PPM at ROS-I Asia Pacific and ICRA
The blooming ROS industrial community invited us to two inspiring exhibitons to Singapore (ROS-I Asia Pacific and ICRA), where we just started up the Consortium, but receive an enormous interest from local and global companies, universities, institutes. The industry is eager to use next generation technologies, like ROS, that allows them to penetrate new markets, cut the costs of old ones. FlexGui 4.0 masks the complexity of the ROS based projects, makes it really easy to operate and accept a new solution, leading to customer satisfaction and retainment.
